It is well known that in Islamic Religion sponsoring an orphan is greatly rewarded. The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "I and the person who looks after an orphan will enter Paradise together like this", then he raised his forefinger and middle finger together. (Saheeh Al-Bukhari)

Today there are millions of orphans around the world. Orphans are often deprived of food, clothing, sufficient healthcare and a good education.

Accordingly, WAFA Relief has started to establish the "ORPHAN PROJECT" to provide relief and support to the orphans in Africa, the most needy communities in the world. A monthly donation of £25 will provide the basic necessities including food, clothing, health care, education, school supplies and daily living expenses.

 How does the scheme work?

After the donor accepts the agreement to sponsorship the orphan that he/she has chosen, WAFA Relief will sent him/her a sponsorship kit that includes a photo of the sponsored orphan, biographical and geographical information on the country where he/she lives. The sponsor will receive annual reports in which he/she can follow up his/her orphan every year so he can watch him or her grow and change over time, and learn more about how the sponsorship program is impacting his or her life.

Communication

Communication with the child is allowed just through WAFA Relief administration, where WAFA Relief will exchange any communication from the donor to child and vice versa.

How to sponsor an orphan?

1. Click on the Orphan List, and choose the orphan you would like to sponsor.

2. click on the "I want to sponsor an orphan" to get the sponsorship letter.

3. Sent the sponsorship letter to WAFA Relief .

4. WAFA Relief will send you the orphan kit and start the sponsorship programme.
